Residents of Pennyville were frightened for their lives as a group of Coloured males came to attack them after two Coloured men were killed by some community members of Pennyville.

Eight people form Pennyvillewere arrested during the incident and violence that took place between the two communities, and their next court appearance will be on the 9th of October at the Orlando Magistrate Court.

Gauteng News spoke to Sithembile Takalo, community member from Pennyville, “This started when some Coloured males came to Pennyville to rob us and the last time they attempted to steal, the community responded with anger and they were fed up about the robbing taking place in our community.

Its sad most people who got injured are innocent people and this whole situation has gone out of control. Tomorrow we will be supporting our comrades at Orlando Magistrate court and we hope this will come to an end.” Follow Gauteng News as the story unfolds.
