DJ Black Coffee is living the dream right now and if you’re not jealous then clearly you must be living under a rock somewhere. 2019 just seems to be getting better and better for the muso who released a smash hit with US singer Usher, not so long ago, and had his face appear on a billboard in New York City’s Time Square.
Now, if that is not an achievement of note then I seriously don’t know what is. Recently the house maestro appeared on, fellow South African, Trevor Noah’s Daily Show where the two gentlemen dissected Coffee’s success and work ethic.
“Resilience, knowing hunger and knowing that you’ve experienced it and you don’t want to go back there. That’s what has kept me going and brought me to where I am today”, he said. These words can inspire anyone to get up and continue their grind even on an extremely lazy and depressing day.
And after the interview guess what the Coffee got up to? He ‘decided’ to attend Drake’s More Life Party at a New York club where he played and hung out with the rapper afterwards. Drake’s excitement was uncontainable as can be seen in the selfie they took together.
Shout out to you Black Coffee! Keep on making Africa proud.
