Born and bred in Tembisa, Johannesburg, an upcoming pop singer Edward Nkuna (23) is turning his failure into inspiration. He entered South African Idols twice with no luck of winning both rounds, but never gave up. The show started last year and the auditions of this year will probably run this month.
This show was basically for young artists to showcase their talents and their capabilities in music. Entering Idols competition was a new experience for Nkuna, he cited that he has gained more experience. Nkuna whose stage name is NOAHZARK has recently caught-up with Gauteng News to share his future goals.
“I am not letting go of this, music is my passion and I will make sure my dreams do come true. My grandmother inspired me to pursued music. She saw this thing that nobody did and tried her level best to matured it. She encouraged and motivated me to acknowledge my talent and cherish this gift,” he said.
He furthered his musical studies at Ntinga Academy to learn some instruments such as piano, drums and guitar.
“Religion and God guides me to do better each and every day. Leaving everything in God’s hands gives me peace of mind. My journey as a singer was never really expected, because I started singing when I was 10 years old at church.” NOAHZARK said.
NOAHZARK added and said that mentoring is close to his heart, to mould and shape the young ones into the right direction.
“I would like to advice upcoming artist to always refers to the experience. The dream is free but the hustle is sold separately. Is easy to have the version and the dream and everything. But now the work that you have put in is something else it has to come within you.” He added.
