Local producer breaks into music industry

Tebogo Rabohale (23) has made a breakthrough by winning the Pheli Awards where he walked away as the best producer recently. The muso was born and bred in Bolobedu, Limpopo but now resides in Tshwane. Rabohale is popularly known as Tbg-Rafael, his love and passion for music production started in his childhood.

He was also crowned as the best producer under the category of the best new comer in Durban at Mzansi Youth in July this year. Rafael has caught up with Gauteng News to share his experience with readers asa versatile Producer with a passion for Hip Hop and other genres.

“In the journey of my music career, I have shared stage with several professional and talented musicians such as the likes of Static Dope, Jewels Black, Master Kg to name a few,” 

Tbg-Rafael is a multi-award winner, music entrepreneur and a producer at Rafael Records. He told Gauteng News it all started when he used to spend time creating beats and selling them to friends and fellow artists.

“It started as a hobby and soon I realised that it is my talent and I am grateful that in the journey of my music career I have shared the stage with several professionals and talented musician,” 

He has won awards in places like Sun Carousel International casino in 2019 where he won the Gama Award as the best producer. 

“Music is my life and bringing a script to life and into a melody has always been my passion because I believe that I have to send a message across to the world.” He added. 

Apart from studio work Rafael is also a qualified civil engineer and a brand ambassador at OT Wine produced in South Africa. His inspired to share his music with local and international masses, collaborating with various sounds from across the globe. 

“My goal at this state is to reach out to markets I haven’t been exposed to, especially outside Limpopo and Gauteng.”
