Author aims to transform young people through motivational book

Daveyton resident Mthokozisi Nkosi (35) aims to transform, impact, inspire, and motivate the world through his book. Nkosi was born born and bred in Mpumalanga. The self-published author titled his book: Step Out of Your Comfort Zone and Start Living Your Dream.

Nkosi is a motivational speaker and book writing coach. Heuses his books to make the world to a better place. In an interview Nkosi told Gauteng News he realised from a young age he wanted to be self employed.

“When I had a 9am to 5pm job, I noticed that most of my colleagues were working at jobs they didn’t enjoy. One day the company decided to retrench them,”

“I saw for the first time a 60-year-old man shed tears. He begged me to talk to their superior so they can have their job back. It was then that I knew that it dawned on me this is not the life I desired.”

He wrote his book aiming to help his readers to realise that everything they want is outside of their comfort zone.

“Most importantly I wanted to be the change I wanted to see in the world, as Mahatma Gandhi asserted. This book is for anyone who is looking for meaning in life. People who don’t enjoy their lives and who are desperate to change but unsure how to go about it,”

Nkosi said the book will give readers that little push they need. Prior to his job, he was kicked out of his father’s house in 2009. His father disowned him.

“I left my father’s house with a bag full of clothes and entered an empty room, with my heart full of hope but anxious. The title of the book started as a Toast masters speech I delivered at our club,”

“The speech was titled Kicked out of my comfort zone.I began to notice most of my colleagues were too comfortable at their jobs. This was when I had my lightbulb moment and had an idea of writing a book on the subject.”

The book is available at R150. For more information or to assist email or visit Facebook: or call him @ 7 74 883 0299
