Blaqlist chose music out of passion

Ekurhuleni based rapper and singer Katlego Sebetha (28) whose stage name is Blaqlist said he chose music industry because of love.

Sebetha raps about his life experiences and struggles.

“I was inspired by my family because they love music. I always loved arts such as acting, painting and dancing from a tender age. Entertainment has always been powerful to me and blessing people with my music is an achievement. Passion for music keeps me going and I started doing my own music at high school level. However, the first time I performed on stage was at primary school at school musical. It was the most scary but amazing experience of my life. Anyway for some reasons, I wanted more of that and since then I have loved stage”, he added.

Sebetha said he is a fan of different artists and feels that everybody has got something to bring on the table. He wishes to work with all brilliant artists in music industry.

“We encounter a lot of challenges in music industry. It basically depends on if one has got backbone, tough skin and finds a way out of them. I am not signed under any record label but an independent artist. I have released an EP early last year called Versatile and music video link is well as”, he said.

Sebetha said that he has worked with the likes of Big Star Johnson, Jay Claude, JimmyWiz, Quick Fass cass, King slick, SpDubbBeats and many more established artists.

“People can get in touch with me on twitter or instagram: @_BlaQlist, Facebook: BlaQlist and for bookings at email:
