Zitha Publishing offers a new home for music in SA

A home for musicians that want to be heard beyond their imagination is here. ZITHA Publishing, a record label that will officially launch this december in an intimate setting at Ferguson’s 5th Floor hosting young talent including KamoMphela, Yanga Chief & Felo le Tee who will perform for the audience.

Conceptualised and owned by Joseph Zitha, a businessman also known as “Z Buldoza” his stage name, Zitha Publishing aims to invest in talented young artists as well as act as a guiding force on navigating the industry.

The “Loko Rixile” hitmaker plans to back new artists which he never had with all his attempts to make a name for himself as a musician.

Growing up, Z Buldoza was passionate about preaching and now uses his songs to ‘preach’ about everyday issues. “I ventured into entrepreneurship after years of trying to break into the music scene here but with no luck. I went on to build my construction empire with my bare hands as a self-taught builder. I now want to empower others to build their music empires in this tough environment,” said  Z Buldoza

The Malamulele born music man made a call for talented people to submit their demos and received an overwhelming response. “We have received an enormous amount of demos. We are on the final stage of demo listening as we have scaled them down to 10. Only 2 artists will have the opportunity to be signed under Zitha Publishing.” he added.

On Thursday 9 December, he will be hosting the two winners who will get a chance to be in conversation with an industry veteran on the day.
