Emergency access to retirement funds

President Cyril Ramaphosa has enacted the Revenue Laws Amendment Bill of 2023, introducing a “two-pot” system.

This law allows retirement fund members to access part of their savings in emergencies without needing to resign or fully cash out their pensions.
