Neo Salemane reunited with her stolen baby Akhona on Wednesday she was stolen at the Stretford community health clinic.
After the community was informed about the missing baby, residents decided to search for the heavily pregnant woman who was found with the stolen baby at the shack settlements in Orange Farm.
Currently, the 22 year old was arrested by the local police on Wednesday and she is expected to appear in the Vereeniging magistrate court to face a case of abducting a child.
Police spokesperson Captain Tebogo Lephotho confirmed that the 22 year old was from Kwa-Zulu Natal and she came to Orange Farm, next to the Stretford clinic to visit her boyfriend.
However, community members were able to describe the pregnant women who left with the baby at the clinic and they were able to trace back the direction she went to after abducting the baby.
Salemane who is also the mother of two was excited to reunite with her stolen baby and Akhona’s father, Samkelo Magwaza said he was shocked and did not even think a pregnant woman would steal the baby.
