Boagola-Musa Foundation empowers Mabopane youth through Sports

Boagola-Musa Foundation objective is to empower youth of Mabopane and surrounding township like Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria through Sports and Arts and Culture. This charity organisation will host a charity cricket match in order to donate clothes for orphanages at Block U Mabopane Park on Sunday morning.

The event also aims to establish the organisation first Sporting event for the year. Boagola-Musa Foundation is a vibrant wholly black owned non-profit organisation (NGO) which was found by Keo Moalusi (30) from Mabopane. In an exclusive interview Moalusi told Gauteng news that he considers his foundation existence as an opportunity to empower the youth.

“It is the organisation’s mandate to create youth employment through Sports, Arts and Culture by employing performing students through Gigs, employing young teachers for our programs and sports coaches. This should distract youth from drugs and alcohol,”

Boagola-Musa Foundation was established in 2019 to empower youth through skills and create outhouse employment. Its goal is to find a skills Centre with extra mural activities throughout the year.

Moalusi’s foundation strives to achieve cultural awareness and preservation, increase access to arts and cultural education and inclusive participation of marginalized groups.

“The foundation started by assisting tertiary institution Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) with social mobilisation responsibilities. After identifying a broader gap, it has now shifted its main focus on Sports and Arts and Cultural. Being exposed to arts and culture resources at a young age. I saw a big gap in lack of resource in sub rural/rural areas.”
