It is very rare to come across a self-help book with such a provocative title. Author Mark Manson definitely had the intention of grabbing the reader’s attention with such a title.
As the title suggests Manson breaks down how to let go of less important things, in life, in order to focus on one’s goals. He goes on to mention that the negative experiences people encounter should be embraced rather than avoided.
‘Anything worthwhile in life is won through surmounting the associated negative experience’, the book reads. The vulgarity, however, within the book can be a distraction if your ears are not accustomed to it but if they are then you’ll be amused by his dark humour.
