Buddha in Africa

This documentary explores the life of a Malawian boy, Enock, who was orphaned at the age of 6 and sent to a Confucian Buddhist Orphanage. There Enock is given a Chinese name and is later known as Enock Alu.

Enock becomes highly skilled in acrobatics and is later torn between having to choose either his African culture or sign up for 5 years in order to study in Taiwan.

Buddha in Africa is a film about spirituality and soul-searching that can inspire the viewer to find inner peace especially in a harsh continent like Africa.
