The Davis and Dean South Africa, in partnership with SETA, launched a new campus at Igugu Primary School in Mofolo, Soweto on Tuesday. Unemployed youthseeking to further their studies are offered a free scholarship in Business Administration that runs for 12 months.
Students are required to attend the course for two days in a week. They are also offered a K53 learner’s license training.
Senior coordinator of Davis and Dean Gqabi Tyalimpisaid, “The programme was launched last year and so far we have ten campuses across Soweto and this includes Meadowlands, Braam Fischer, Naledi and Mofolo to name a few.
We also operate in the East Rand and after our students complete the 12 month course we place them in relevant companies. We work a lot with the private sector.” Davis and Dean is an international company located in Seattle, USA that was established in South Africa to assist young people with management skills and business administration.
“The scholarship is accredited for 200 students and we accommodate people from the ages of 18 to 28. Our registrations are open on Wednesdays and Thursdaysand while classes commence they will be open from 11 September 2019 until the end of October 2019”, concluded Tyalimpi.
Davis and Dean South Africa is currently only offering a course in Business Administration and, Gauteng News can confirm that, after the first batch of students graduate the campus will then offer other qualifications to young people in Gauteng.
