The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Gauteng province stood at 63 404, with 18 585 recoveries and so far, 353 people succumbed to the virus. This was announced by the Department of Health on Monday. The department stated that about 34 952 contacts traced individuals were in contact with people who tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the department 22 390 people have completed the 14 days monitoring period with no symptoms reported and therefore they are de-isolated. About 2553 people are currently hospitalized in the public and private facility. Meanwhile about 2370 cases and 131 death are not yet allocated to one of the five districts in the province.
