Mmaphaka Valerie: “I love motivating my loved ones with inspirational quotes and messages of encouragement.”

Having to grow up as an introverted child, radio personality and author Mmaphaka Valerie also known as Ms V never thought she could one day be a motivational speaker or an author.

“I could sit and just watch people doing whatever while I would try analyse their behaviours.”

Ms V says public speaking was ignited by her family and friends who would complement her on advises she gives to people.

“I love motivating my loved ones with inspirational quotes and messages of encouragement either from my personal experiences or indirectly.

When asked about her burning passion for motivational talks, Valerie says people and humanity have been the driving force for her hunger to motivate people.

Her motivational talks vary from events she’s asked to come talk at, to the ones she organises for herself. In all her talks, Ms V never leaves out the one important principle she lives by, and that is to be kind and to lift as you rise.

She gives talks at various events such as corporate events, baby showers and bridal showers amongst others. Through these events, she grew a love for empowering women. Her love for women empowerment has led Valerie to initiate 50 shades of pink, an annual event that has been continuing for the past 6 years. She talks with women on different issues such as intimacy, hygiene and self-awareness through her organisation “Occasions by V.

Valerie hopes to build a network of strong women by empowering young and older women on life’s challenges.

Through the publishing of her first two books, Point of View- My Perspective, and Point of View -My Perspective Elaborated, written at different times. Valerie shares the beauty of the books saying that the first one is an intro to the series of upcoming books.

My point of view – My Perspective Elaborated goes in deep from the topics touched from Point of view – My Perspective.

The second book addresses conversations and questions that were sparked from the first book.
“This encouraged me to continue sharing how I see situations and to further share my perspective. The first book contains 4 chapters which birth 4 other series of books first born being My Perspective Elaborated under the self-growth topic.”

Ms V will launch her third book on July 13. She says it is a dream come true as the book launch will focus more on networking with guests such as Ms Kefilwe Makhanya an editor, Ms Amo Mokhubela also an Author and business women, and Dr Sello Galane a musician making an appearance.
