25 years old Johannesburg based actor Tlhokomelo Motselebane recently became an ambassador Dlozi Ngwana badimo, a trending clothing brand in Gauteng.
Motselebane said Dlozi was established in July 2020 by Nape Phasha, after educating people about African spirituality on social media for many years. He said he was contacted to be a Dlozi brand ambassador because of his work on television.
“Dlozi Ngwana badimo is more than a brand as it talks about who we are as African people. It is composed of a clothing brand from kids, men and women. Currently we are operating online stores which is www.dlozi.shop and through social media platforms. African people have welcomed the brand with love. We have delivered to all nine provinces in the country on ourfirst month of sales”, said Motselebane.
He said their main challenge is courier services and clients not knowing sizes. Motselebane said couriers do not deliver in townships and even if they do it takes time, as they have hot spot places .
“Our aim is to distribute this brand across Africa because it presents people who believe in ancestors. The brand was even recommended by Gogo Dineo as it is outstanding. People who prefer to wear expensive clothes also acknowledge it”, said Motselebane.
Motselebane plays a character of Katlego Maleka on Phuma Moyo Omubi drama series airing on Moja Love. He told Gauteng News that they are busy working on a new project called IN AMS produced by Moeketsi Mphunye, which will air on SABC 1 this year.
“I also got a role on Triumphant Love feature film produced by Morapeli Phokojoe from Creatives Media and Unathi Sifici. I am shooting my drama series called Isimangaliso where the likes of Phophi Mudau known as Cyndi Khuzwayo on Skeem Saam and many more actors are featured”, he added.
