Mugabe airlifted to Singapore for medical care

South African Foreign and Acting Political Editor Sophie Mokoena confirmed that former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe is in Singapore to receive medical care.

“Mugabe has been going under treatment for the past few months and now he is held back again in Singapore, to receive treatment.

He was airlifted to Singapore in April, and President Emmerson Mnangwana told the media that he is taking care of his sick predecessor”, she said.

Mnangwana said Mugabe has not been feeling well and currently is not in Zimbabwe. Previously Mnangwana was quoted as saying that; “on 2 April Mugabe left for Singapore for about 29 days.”

“I am making sure that there are facilitations for him therefore to receive treatment. I take him to Singapore and bring him back as well. ZANU PF bigwigs have always been seen travelling to India and Singapore”, said Mnangwana
