Partnerships to Alleviate Covid-19 Negative Impact

This year’s Mandela Month requires that people share and demonstrate their generosity while taking precaution in line with the Covid-19 lockdown regulations. With South Africa now ranked in the top ten Covid-19 stricken country in the world, the virus has left people wondering how to creatively participate in this year’s #HisLegacyLivesOn to lend a helping hand and show compassion to the less fortunate.

“We would like to hear how you played your part during the 2020 Mandela Month. Send us pictures, showcasing what you have done to advance this year’s #HisLegacyLivesOntheme. We also invite suggestions on how Gauteng News and its readers can work together to assist the less fortunate while abiding by the level three lockdown regulations, Gauteng News CEO Kenny Ramulifho said.

Ramulifho indicated that the initiative is a good platform for government, business and the public to pull resources together towards lending a helping hand to the needy. “It’s all hands-on deck, we look forward to partner with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s(GDARD) #GDARDCares initiative. We call on each individual to support the launch to demonstrate our commitment to make a difference in whichever way we can. The partnership requires active participation and meaningful contribution by all citizens.”

We invite your inputs on how to grow and make meaningful impact to better the lives of Gauteng citizens and beyond, especially during the financial constraints and limited opportunities due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative was started by GDARD more than a year ago. Employees donate essential items such as no perishable food, clothes, toiletries and books.
