Tshwane Covid-19 recorded cases at ease

Good news for the City of Tshwane, active cases have declined week-to-week. Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane Councillor Randall Williams confirmed that Covid-19 active cases have dropped to 17 338 as of yesterday, 19 July 2021.

Williams said, “in the previous week, the number of Covid-19 active cases stood at 25 491.” He also added that the significant decrease in Covid-19 active cases is welcome as they move through the third wave.

Williams says new confirmed daily cases have also decreases, ranging between 1000 and 2000 cases. “While we are making progress with decreasing Covid-19 active cases, it is important that we remain vigilant and play our part to stop the spread of Covid-19,” says Williams.

As the city has 32 vaccination sites in various regions of the city, residents are advised to register and go for vaccination. Williams says the city has professional team of healthcare workers ready to assist and vaccinate.

“I want to encourage all qualifying residents to receive their vaccine,” he emphasized.
