Women gathered at JSE Sandton

Hundreds of women are gathered at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in Sandton on Friday in reaction to the killings of women and children in Gauteng. 

A hoard of women met at 3am Friday morning discussing and providing solutions for the scourge actions against women, however, on Thursday Minister of Police Bheki Cele released the latest crime stats in sexual assault has increased to 4 060 nationally. 

Some protestors confirmed the reason they organized the protest at JSE was to ask for financial assistance given the fact that the government had stated it could not battle the gender based violence adequately because of funds. 

High presence of the Johannesburg Metro Police and currently no violence has sparked as yet.
