24 people lose their lives in Limpopo crash

President Cyril Ramaphosa has sent his condolences to the families of the 24 young people who were killed in a road accident in Limpopo.

The accident happened on Sunday on the R81 in Maphalle, Limpopo.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula took to social media to extend his condolence to the family of those who lost their lives on the accident.

“It is with deep sadness & devastation that I share the news of the death of 24 persons who lost their lives in a road accident on the R81 in Maphalle, Limpopo on Sunday. My team is in that province, working with relevant authorities we will share more information with you,” he tweeted. “What is happening on our roads requires urgent attention, this is work we’ve already embarked on. The deadly road crashes that happened over the weekend are yet another tragic reminder,” he added in a tweet
