This undoubtedly has to be South Africa’s well-directed western movie that explores a theme that has never been tapped into before. Set in an old town where police brutality and oppression are the order of the day the locals decide to revolt against this unjust system.
Tau, the protagonist, is part of the 5 fingers that riot against the authority but fail dismally before being forced to retreat and ultimately leave town. Upon his subsequent return to the town in later years he is a pastor and seeks to live peacefully but with the town’s new troublesome residents it doesn’t look like Tau will find peace.
The star-studded cast featuring some of South Africa’s legendary actors such as Jerry Mofokeng, Kenneth Nkosi and Hamilton Dlamini this movie is a must watch.
