A man from Pretoria is making his second court appearance at the Mamelodi West Reginal Court tomorrow morning. Heallegedly slitted his girlfriend’s child’s throat, as accused bythe biological father who will remain anonymous to protect the child’s identity.
According to her father, as reported by Twitter account NOTINMYNAME’s secretary general Themba Masango, this indecent act was a retaliation for an argument that occurred between the child’s mother and the accused, where he reportedly refused to leave after being asked to.
The family that stays together in Montana, was visiting the grandmother’s house in Khutsong extension in Mamelodi, as reported in the statement. “He went into the grandparents’ house and took a knife from the kitchen and slit [my] child’s throat execution-style,” he says.
The child’s mother was allegedly at the carwash during the incident and called the police once she returned home to her child’s throat being slit. The eight-year-old girl from Mamelodi is still hospitalised in Pretoria East since the horrendous incident occurred.
As the child’s family awaits tomorrow’s verdict, the Twitter account announced its support to the family and “will be there with the community to make sure that no bail is granted”.
