The Police in Tshwane District have noted with concern the recent increase in bank following robberies in and around Ga-Rankuwa, where unsuspecting victims are followed from banks after withdrawing large sums of money.
In the recent incident, a 47 year-old man who had just withdrawn a large sum of money from a bank at Ga-Rankuwa Shopping Complex in Zone 4, was allegedly followed by three suspects, driving in a white Volvo sedan, robbed and then killed the man.
The police have said the suspects are still at large. An investigation is open concerning the bank tip-offs and the connection to the suspects. They also plead with community members to assist in identifying the suspects
