Nigerian Pastor Omotoso back in court

The rape trial of Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso is expected to resume in the Eastern Cape High Court in Port Elizabeth today.

Omotoso and his two co-accused are currently facing 63 charges and 34alternative charges which include rape, sexual assault and racketeering.

#NOTINMYNAME with many other groups that will be supporting the victims have said,  they want to make it categorically clear that they stand with all the victims. “We believe them! Rape accused Timothy Omotoso is a wolf in sheep skin, preying on the innocent and vulnerable. He is no Man of God!
We should be aghast that the pastor and his supporters contend that everything that happened between the pastor and the many young women in his church was consensual. It should injure our collective moral fibre that a 52-year-old man, would even seek consent from minors.”

#NOTINMYNAME has called on all progressive South Africans to say, #NOTINMYNAME to every so called man of God involved in these heinous acts.” It is of utmost necessity that we take back our streets, homes and places of worship! Our law enforcement agencies must deal with them venomously speedily and accurately. We demand Justice!”, Themba Masango from #NotInMyNameSA
