Coca Cola encourages recycling in Soweto

Qobosheane Primary school in Diepkloof Zone One in Soweto has collaborated with Coca-Cola to clean the environment by encouraging pupils to recycle.

Learners at the school are usually taught to recycle and use waste material for school projects to raise awareness for a clean environment.

Coca-Cola Company oragnised a fun day at Qobosheane primary since the pupils at the school have demonstrated a great deal of determination in keeping the environment clean and advocating recycling.

Coca-Cola aims to encourage different schools to recycle and collect waste. Should such schools reach a target, they will be receiving a reward as a way of encouraging a clean and healthy environment through recycling.

The school’s principal Nkwe Monageng says “it is important to encourage learners about saving their planet through recycling and keeping the environment clean. Schools around Soweto are invited to be a part of the project and advocate for healthy living through reusing waste material. Follow Gauteng News as the story unfolds.”
