Different Executive Directors show concern for Soweto economy

The structure of Executive Directors aiming to organise and unite businesses has officially launched Soweto Industry Chambers and Councils Forum, at SUD restaurant in Soweto today.

Soweto Industry Chambers and Councils Forum spokesperson Seipati Mbokazi said the forum which was established in October 2020, is the custodian of 15 CIPC registered Soweto Industry Chambers Councils.

“The forum was initiated and developed by smart Township Development SA (NPC) in partnership with Soweto Business Collaboration ‘SOBCO’ (NPC) and managed by SOBCO group (Pty) Ltd. It is marketed and promoted by I Am Soweto (NPC). The Executives are 100% committed to township, mainly Soweto economy and business development agenda. They fully rely and support the forum’s program for action. Their aim is to protect business interest and industries in communities. The Executives also want to become champions of business enterprises and organise communities in Soweto. They want to build relationship with stakeholders, bring business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs together through collaboration and promote them. Another aim is to create employment and develop local supply chain”, she said.

Mbokazi said they evaluate and monitor Soweto industry, as well as business activities. She added that the forum also produces and promotes local products, brands and services.
