Four killed and 15 injured in a horrific accident

Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) confirmed that four people were dead and 15 were injured in a multi-vehicle crash during separate collision on Thursday, on M1 North near Xavier off-ramp in Ormonde Johannesburg.

Johannesburg Metro Police spokesperson Wayne Minnar said the accident was horrific as there were two separate but related collisions accidents.

“Four people are dead and 15 taken to different hospitals. The first incident involved a bus, taxi and a vehicle, which led to massive traffic delays. There was another collision with five more vehicles involved. However, the scene was being cleared during the day”, he said.

Minnar added that several eyewitnesses also described the scene as horrific.
