How Families Can Bond and Care for the Environment During the Lockdown

The 2020 Mandela Month was an extraordinary period which required all those who wanted to honour the late former president’s legacy to be creative in dedicating their 67 minutes of good deeds.

“We hope that the clips shared will inspire people to do their bit in caring for the environment,”

Environmental Empowerment Services director Happy Baloyi said. People are encouraged to sort the waste accumulated in their households and reduce the amount taken to landfill sites by reusing items as much as possible.

Most activities are easy to do and the whole family can participate to instil environmental awareness while bonding during the lockdown.
