A 35-year-old woman from Naledi, extension two has been arrested for attempted murder at the Naledi police station. She attempted to murder her ex-boyfriend by accessing his rented room and poisoning his yogurt. The yogurt, however, ended in the new girlfriend’s hands who soon collapsed after consuming it.
The girlfriend was immediately rushed to hospital and it is confirmed that the she is in a good condition. The suspect is still in custody and will be appearing at the Protea Magistrate court soon.
According to the spokesperson of Naledi Police station, Vincent Mashiteng, “The boyfriend called the suspect to find out what she was doing in his room. It is alleged that she responded by asking why he was not dead because she had put poison in the yogurt meant for him.”
The woman was arrested after being traced by the police but her identity is still withheld from the media due to her pending court appearance.
