Hip hop is well known for its competitive nature especially when an underdog is still trying to make a name for themselves. The latest is that of new rapper Shane Eagle, who released his latest single Paris, throwing a subliminal diss at Cassper Nyovest.
‘Heard of these ni***z they selling these tickets and how they went platinum’ is how the lyric goes and if you’re familiar with Cassper’s marketing strategy you’ll know that line was aimed at him.
Cassper is well known for his fill up series at the end of each year and the stadiums he performs in are always packed to capacity. He also uses it to his advantage by selling his music to attendees which is a smart move if you ask me.
So the question is, was Shane Eagle seeking clout or is there more to his line than meets the eye? We will just have to wait and see how it all turns out.
