Johannesburg Municipal Police Department (JMPD) K9 officers have recently arrested two car hijackers on separate incidents in Orlando Soweto.
According to the JMPD tweeter post, earlier this week on Monday a Nissan NP200 bakkie was hijacked.
“A local company tracker assisted JMPD members by tracing and making follow up on the information that was gathered and led to a certain house. The bakkie was found parked and a male suspect got arrested after he was found with the keys of the car”, a post read.
It also stated that another Hyundai H100 truck was reported stolen at Soweto shopping centre. JMPD officers were on patrol routine when they recover it. It matched with the description of a vehicle that was reported missing and a male suspect who was driving it also got arrested.
A truck got impounded and booked at Aeroton VISS for further investigations. The two suspects are detained at Orlando East police station. JMPD seems to be trying by all means in order to combat crime.
