A 48-year-old man was arrested for the murder of his 47-year-old wife and his two children a boy (10) and a girl (11) in Central Western Jabavu (CWJ) recently. The police arrested the man after leading them to two different locations where he had hidden the victims’bodies. A case of a missing person had been opened at the beginning of this month at Moroka Police Station.
“Today the suspect reappeared after he had vanished since last week. The community handed him over to the police after capturing him, furthermore, the police and the community went to several places where the suspect was alleged to have hidden the bodies but the suspect was not telling the truth.” Said Captain Khosa spokesperson of Moroka Police Station.
The suspect allegedly led the police to the body of his 47-year-old wife in Zondi opposite Jabulani Hostel where he had dumped her body in the bush. He then led the police to the second scene at Mofolo Park where the bodies of his two children were found.
Captain Khosa added, “He will be charged with three counts of murder and will appear at the Protea Magistrate Court. As Moroka police station we would like to thank the community of Central Western Jabavu for assisting us in the search for the victims’ bodies.”
