Mashaba joins over 800 JMPD recruits

City of Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba led by Department of Public Safety MMC Michael Sun, and Acting Head of Public Safety David Tembe inspected parade of JMPD in Booysens Johannesburg.

Mashaba said Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department were over 800 of 1 500 recruits that will soon graduate to become fully qualified officers of the law.

“We inspected both a parade at JMPD training academy in Booysens and road block conducted by recruits in South of Johannesburg. The trainees will graduate later this year and once on the ground, they will effectively double JMPD’s police force. This will ensure that residents of Johannesburg are safe and secure”, said Mashaba.
