Three more suspects have been arrested at Katlehong, in connection with the robbery at the state-of-the-art school. The arrest of the suspects aged between 26 and 31 bring the total number of arrested suspects to 10.
The Ekurhuleni East Trio Task team and detectives recovered two smart boards stolen in Orange Farm and one unlicensed firearm.
The suspects were traced to a shop in Orange Grove where 22 tablets and three laptops were found.
Robbers allegedly stole 185 tablets, eight laptops, desktops, an overhead projector, a plasma TV, cash and other valuables. The suspects allegedly broke into the school in the early hours of the morning and tied up two security guards and later lock them up in one the school’s store rooms.
Police urge the community to come forward with information that could help in the investigation or the arrest of more suspects of the school robbery by phoning 08600-0111 or the nearest police station.
