Motorist who clocks 322km/h still on the run

Ekurhuleni metro police department (EMPD) said a motorist who clocked to 322km per hour on Johannesburg highway, will face full might of law if found.

This follows a video of this motorist clocking at that speed recently went viral on social media platform.

Anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee shared the video and it was unclear about day the video was taken however, a car screen shows that the incident happened after 4pm.

“This madness of over speeding should be stopped”, written on Abramjee tweed.

There are other different videos of over speeding motorist. On another video, the car is a Nissan GTR speeding from 175km/h and increase more to 240km/h while driving toward OR Tambo International Airport.

The video was showing a motorbike and a car racing. When a biker passed Emperors Palace, he celebrates and the motorists accelerated to cover up the speed of a biker while clocking 301 km/h.

Then he clocks 322km/h before slowing down.

EMPD Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said they could not tolerate such behaviour, as it will leads to horrific accidents.

“The department also had a high-speed unit to deal with speedsters. When a driver clocks more than 200km/h, he or she is arrested. We will not tolerate this as even 200km/h is a bit hectic”, said Kgasago.
