One of the three police officers accused of killing Eldorado Park teenager Nathaniel Julies is expected to hear the verdict of his bail application in the Protea Magistrate’s court in Soweto on Friday.
Voster Netshiongolo is charged with defeating the ends of justice, while his co-accused are facing charges of murder and discharging a firearm in a public space.
The judgment was postponed last week.
Julies was allegedly shot by a police officer and taken to hospital at the back of a police vehicle.
Julies, a teenager with Down syndrome, was shot dead in Eldorado Park, Johannesburg in August. His death sparked protests in the area.
