The South African Mint, a wholly owned subsidiary of the South African Reserve Bank, every year, marks memorable events and anniversaries that capture the nation by striking these stories onto collectable coins, and the recently released 2020’s product line-up is no different.
The 2020 collectable coins include: R25 FINE-SILVER: Coelophysis Rhodesiensis, Common Obverse, The Kruger Rand (fine silver and gold proof), Rhino Gold and Double Capsule Proof among others that are still being rolled out.
The collectable coins can be purchased at the Coin World Museum. Visitors to Coin World can enjoy the unique experience of striking their own coin on one of the world’s oldest working mint presses, nicknamed “Paul”. Coin World is known to be the place to buy a South African gift with a difference.
