Notoane named his squad ahead of COSAFA tournament

Coach David Notoane has named his Bafana Bafana squad to participate in the upcoming COSAFA Cup tournament which will take place in Durban.

Bafana Bafana’s first encounter is against Botswana on 1 June 2019. The squad goes into camp on Sunday, 26 May 2019.

Notoane has named three goalkeepers Mondli Mpoto, Darren Johnson and Reyaad Pieterse and seven defenders Thendo Mukumela, Keanu Cupido, Reeve Frosler, Tercious Malepe, Katlego Mohamme, Bongani Sam and Sandile Mthethwa.

Among the regulars in the u23 team included in the team to play in the COSAFA Cup tournament are midfielders Teboho Mokoena, Athenkosi Dlala, Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Grant Magerman. Notoane has also included Keagan Dolly in the squad as well as Jamie Webber and Kgaogelo Sekgota from Vitoria Setubal in Portugal.

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Phakamani Mahlambi, Luther Singh of GD Chaves (Portugal) and Koge FC of Denmark’s Liam Jordan will lead the strike force and are joined by TS Galaxy’s Lerato Lepasa and Jemondre Dickens of Baroka FC.
