A 30 year old Soweto based hip hop artist, Chiawelo radio presenter and actor Vincent Sthembiso Sibiya known as ‘Sthenic Clinic’ is releasing his album named ‘life issues’ early next year.
Sibiya who is a director of SVSDSIDE Entertainment said he is also a producer and presenter of afternoon drive show called “KasRasLocal Top 20” on the radio, during weekdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm.
“The show’s target is to introduce new talents in the industry and talks about everything that has to do with entertainment. I started being active in the creative industry since 2004 when performing at Valentine’s Day event, during my school days at Lilydale Primary School. Since then I never looked back as an entertainer but did much as a musician to the extent that I formed a hip hop and kwaito music group called ‘DSIDE’. We did community projects as a movement until I matriculated”, he said.
Sibiya added that in 2010, he went solo and created the Sthenic brand whereby he entered a talent search competition in Protea Gardens Mall.
“I won the third award on the solo category from that talent search and there were 25 artists competing. I later performed in Fan Park at Elka stadium, at Newtown for World Cup and also at Maponya mall on gigs by Soweto Focus point. In 2011 I introduced my single Emelly which played on radio stations such as YFM, VUT FM, Thetha FM, Tshwane FM, Westside FM and my hit Ntombazane played on Soweto TV street radio”, he added.
Sibiya said from 2011 they foundedLoGGin a movement where he worked until 2014. He added that they did YOTV, LATE MATE ON Soweto TV, Soweto Festival, Soweto Securex Tour, Soweto Festival of lights, Panyaza 707 and BOK Town in Orlando stadium representing National rugby team with the likes of Bricks, PRO, Red Button, Izinyoka and Dj Sbu.
“Our music video played on Soweto tv, Channel O Crispy fresh and hit Jamming party. I got profiled by South African Lotto and Lotto Plus for being an active young leader. My entertainment career in music and acting was honored as a guest who pressed millions of buttons. Popayi and Spinach entertainment trained me as an actor and I appeared on ZONE 14 at SABC 1. I also acted on Avengers Age of Ultron by Marvel Studios that was released worldwide in 2015. I was featured on the scene shot in Johannesburg, alongside Hollywood stars”, he said.
