Whether you still refer to him as Tumi from the Volume or Big Brother T, Stogie is still spittin’ the venom he is well-known for. FIRE!!! Is the only word I can use to describe this 8-track EP.
This rhyme veteran has clearly proven to everyone that he means business when it comes to hip hop. One would expect Tumi to start slacking lyrically considering the fact that he’s been writing and rapping for more than a decade. And in between the music he’s also been dishing out L’s to battle MC’s who tried testing his skills on Scrambles 4 Money.
‘Solitude devours this lonely old vet, like old women with no children and 4 pets’, is a lyric from PTSD that describes the realities of war vets who come back home to poverty and distress. The production is enough to make a listener snarl and bop their heads while ingesting Stogie’s thought-provoking poetry.
This project can be used as a case study for any rapper seeking the formula to creating great hip hop music. While the majority of the new school heads choose to be followers like sheep Tumi has shown his capabilities as a shepherd, ya heard!
