Thaba Jabula Secondary receives new science laboratory

Thaba Jabula Secondary school in Pimville, Soweto was honoured by the Mostepe Foundation as they received science laboratory equipment to assist learners experiment and excel in science and chemistry. 

Learners and teachers were elated and expressed appreciation since the laboratory will assist learners to fulfil their dreams in the world of science. The foundation saw the need to assist Thaba Jabula Secondary sincelearners would walk to the University of Johannesburg (Soweto Campus) to utilise their equipment due to the fact that the school lacked the necessary resources. 

The school is amongst numerous schools in Pimville that are in need of science laboratories, however, Thaba Jabula Secondary announced that schools in the surrounding area will also have access to the lab. The school prides itself in enriching and empowering the youth in Soweto and by allowing school pupils access tothe science laboratory is a step forward towards their vision. 

In 2018 Thaba Jabula Secondary received R150 000 from the Motsepe Foundation to assist invest and improve the school’s equipment, the school is also well known in Soweto for its top performing learners in academics and music.
