The ANC Gauteng welcomes the announcement on the state of readiness for the 2021 National Senior Certificate examination in Gauteng.

Motivating the learners, ANC says education remains the most potent tool in the hands of the democratic state in the fight against triple challenges of inequality, unemployment and poverty.

Stated on the statement issued by the Gauteng ANC Provincial Secretary, Comrade Jacob Khawe, the ANC continues to improve access to quality education while Gauteng enrols the highest number of candidates (175 599) to write the National Senior Certificate examinations.

Comrade Khawe thanked MEC Lesufi, “We thank MEC Lesufi for his stewardship and resilience in making sure that the 2021 academic year was successfully completed.

“The team at the Gauteng Department of Education, led by the HOD and other senior officials, epitomizes a capable administration which is building a development state.”

Comrade Khawe salute all educators, learners and principals for their determination and fortitude under every difficult circumstance because of Covid-19.

ANC expressed gratitude to the School Governing Bodies, parents and the Secondary School Improvement Program (SSIP), which contributed positively to assist learners throughout the whole year.

“Good luck to the class of 2021, as you commence with your exams, be rest assured of the ANC’s well wishes. Our hopes for the better tomorrow will be mirrored by your performance,” adds Comrade Khawe.
