A Nigerian woman was allegedly raped several times by a senior policeman in Benoni Police station from 2017. A 41-year-old cleaner went to the police station to open a case against the senior officer, however, she was turned away by officers, at the Benoni police station, who told her that she was lying.
The 41-year-old attempted again to open a case last week and currently the case has been transferred to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid). The rapes apparently started in 2017 when the cleaner was washing cars and cleaning offices at the Benoni Police station.
The senior officer asked the woman to assist him with laundry at his house since he lived alone. When the cleaner got to the house the senior officer then undressed himself and demanded that the woman do the same.
The top cop raped the 41 year old woman twice at his home once in his office at Benoni police station. The last time he allegedly raped her was in August at her house, when the police officer pretended to be on patrol in her area in Daveyton. The Ipid confirmed the case is still under investigation and the identity of the senior officer is withheld until investigations conclude.
