According to Kasolo, the information and broadcasting Services Permanent secretary in Zambia, has doubled down on government’s justification of banning South African television presenter and actor Somizi Mhlongo from entering the country.
This is in line with the constitutional provisions that promote the national principles and values, Said Kasolo. He added that it does not tolerate anybody diluting the country’s morality and integrity.
Kasolo encouraged the young Zambians to continue to reject the practices that are alien to the country’s traditional cultural values. Saying: “Zambia has already defeated the aliens who attempted to introduce homosexuality in the country”.
Previously, Godfridah Sumaili, the national Guidance and Religious Affairs Minister, banned South African gay television presenter, actor and TV personality Somizi from entering Zambia.
Reverend Sumaili noted Zambia would not ignore a situation where the organisations invited people with problematic attributes that might compromise the morals of the youth.
