2 Suspects nabbed for possession of unlicensed firearms

An urgent request has been issued by the South African Police Services concerning a culpable homicide case that took place in early September.

Captain Xoli Mbele told Gauteng News that on the 9th of September 2019 an accident occurred at corner Pritchard and Kruis Street at approximately 06:40. A white Toyota Siyaya taxi knocked down a blind 38-year-old State attorney who was crossing the street using his white cane.

The case has been lingering for a while and police are seeking key witnesses who might be able to assist. “Paramedics certified him dead on the scene and the police are appealing to possible witnesses to come forward”, says Mbele.

Anyone with information concerning the accident can contact Detective Warrant Officer Lennox of Johannesburg central detectives on his cell phone 082 871 4876 or 011 497 7342.
