Celebrity Chef and entrepreneur Sizo Henna launched his new restaurant Blaque Continental Bistro in Bryanston, Johannesburg on Friday. The new eatery in town will remind its customers of all things magical witha touch of home and culinary brilliance. Media personalities graced the launch with their presence andwere welcomed with an authentic and savoury eating experience with jazzy music that offered a relaxed atmosphere and accommodated both young and old.
“Blaque Continental Bistro offers more than just great food. We are a safe space where you come for relaxation, a meeting, or to celebrate your finest moments and enjoy a downtime from everyday stresses. I am more than thrilled to be launching the restaurant in Bryanston and the support has been unbelievable. We are a home, good vibe, all the things you need in the name of self-care,” said Chef Sizo.
Food lovers were in for a treat with live performances and different succulent culinary flavours. The likes of Thapelo Mokoena were seen at the red carpet alongside guests who were jazzed up as they were dancing the night away.
“Blaque is a homely environment that offers authentic and modern African cuisine with signature dishes that are paired with a wide range of local wines. The simple décor, furniture and jazz music in the background instantly awakens nostalgia of home and emotion of being surrounded by comfort, a warm welcome and great stay,” said Ziyanda Rala, organiser and coordinator for Blaque Continental Bistro events.
