City of Tshwane to lease out its buildings

City of Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams has announced that the City will lease out its buildings in order to generate more revenue.

Mayor Williams said a lot of employees from different companies are working from home due to corona pandemic.

“Group Property is in preparation of strategic land parcels for a long term lease agreements. This is done based on proposition of best money value. The city has started reviewing Land Use Management and Zoning Classification Scheme. We want to ensure more respective environment for small businesses which will operate at home. The situation is the same as of City of Tshwane, which currently owns Pretoria historic show grounds property”, he added.

Williams said their business buildings will be leased out by an agency. “Group Property has signed a contract with property management agency, which will lease out our business properties. Leasing out will improve revenue and there will be more management on buildings”, said Williams
