City Power IT system face blackout following virus attack

City Power has been hit by a virus which has led to a black out to it’s IT systems.

“The virus has attacked our database and other software’s, impacting most of our applications and networks”, Isaac Mangena city power Spokesperson.

The virus has affected customers’ ability to vend, that is buying electricity, upload invoices, or access their website.

Isaac adds that, It may also affect their response to some outages as the system to order and dispatch material is affected.

City Powers IT team has been working since early hours of the morning 1am to  fix this problem.  The city power is hoping to have a solution by midday.
