CWJ drug lab owner wanted

Last month the Johannesburg Metro Police Departmentand K9 unit were informed about a drug laboratory in Central Western Jabavu (CWJ) by community members. The owner of the house is not yet known and the JMPD spokesperson, Wayne Minnaar, received a tip off from the community.

Law enforcement found chemicals, machines and equipment used to make mandrax. The case has been handed over to the Hawks and they are currently investigating it.

Gauteng News spoke to the spokesperson of Hawks, Ndivhuwo Mulamu, “we are still investigating the case, so far there are no developments. This is a serious offence and we ask the community to work with the SAPS and contact the nearest police station should they have information with regards to the case” he said.

Law enforcement did not disclose how much the drugs are worth. Community members are urged to cooperate and assist in apprehending the owner of the house and help bring justice. Should anyone have information, they can call the South African Police Services emergency line  08600 10111.
